Morocco Overland ~ Guidebook Reviews
extracted from Morocco Overland and continuously refined
UPDATED July, 2009
Morocco Overland covers southern Morocco off the beaten track but by and large it leaves out the big towns, the listing of hotels and restaurants and accounts of ‘Things to See and Do’.
For the big picture of mainstream Morocco, a conventional travel guide book will greatly enhance your experience and background knowledge of the country. There are plenty of specialist and regional titles covering the country, but in English only the Rough Guide or Lonely Planet editions do a reasonably comprehensive job, while regularly releasing new editions. For practicality and ease of use, nothing else comes close. Both their 8th editions from 2007 were closely scrutinised while researching Morocco Overland. LP published it’s 9th edition in early 2009; you can expect the 9th Rough Guide edition in 2010.
